𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞...

Mama, let me just say you deserve it!

And I know it’s much easier for me to say than for you to believe...

I get it...

I had this spa day scheduled for over a month. And then last night I started feeling guilty.
Because K asked me if I had to work today. I told him no but I had an appointment and so he was still going to go to school for a little bit.

And then that lip came out....
And he started crying and said he wanted to stay home with me. And my heart broke into a million little pieces and I wanted to call and cancel my spa appointment right then.

But I deserve this- this time for just ME! To recharge- to not think about anything except enjoying this wine and fire in my robe with my book and my freshly conditioned hair, softer than butter skin and my hydrated face.

I needed this- to be the best mama. Wife. Health coach. Dental hygienist. To be all the things....

Mama- you don’t have to literally spend the day at the spa..... (But if you have the chance-𝔻𝕆 𝕀𝕋!!!)
But please- take that time you need. Slip away and take a bath with the door locked.
Go for a solo run.
Drop the kids off early to daycare and relax at your favorite coffee shop and enjoy your coffee while it’s hot.
Talk a walk, read a book, take a nap, do whatever makes you happy and recharges your soul!
Because if no one has told you lately.... you deserve it! 😘

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠?

Yesterday I was so tired- I blamed it on missing my workout and going back to work after being on vacation for a week.

But then I went to bed at 9:00 last night- set my alarm for 4:30.... Still.just.couldn’t.do.it!
I still couldn’t drag myself out of bed this morning. I forced myself up at the very last minute possible to be able to get my workout in and not be late to work. I knew I’d feel better if I just did it.

So I pushed play.
But my workout was junk. Less reps. Less weight. I even sat out a round of those dang plank jacks.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭.𝐢𝐧.𝐭𝐡𝐞.𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝?!?

So I sat there racking my brain- trying to figure out what I was missing...

Then it hit me...

𝐍𝐔𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍!

Yep. Yesterday the only carbs(fuel) my body had was a fudge round... 🤷‍♀️
Lunch was all veggies. Dinner was veggies and a little protein.

I didn’t drink my shake.

I didn’t even slam my pre workout before I hit play this morning.

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

No wonder I’m tired and my workout was trash.

So here’s what I’m reminding myself today::

🥗 Nutrition is such a huge piece of the puzzle!
💪 You have to fuel your body if you want it to perform.
🥯 Proper nutrition includes healthy carbs (sorry fudge round- you don’t actually count).
⚡️ Pre workout actually works! So don’t skip it!
💜 You deserve a little grace- don’t fret over today, just make tomorrow better!

I’d love to focus on my own health and nutrition but I just don’t have the extra money to spend.

Christmas is coming up- I’d love to have extra 💵 to be able to pay for Christmas with cash.

I love staying home with my kids, but I’d also love to feel professionally fulfilled and bring in an income for my family too.

I have got to figure out a way to get out of this 9-5!

Happy Monday!

Sometimes knowing your worth means doing the hard thing.

Day 1 back from vacation and I just wanted to hit snooze, pull the covers over my head and go back to sleep. 😴 #tiredasamother

But I know my goals- I know what it’s going to take to reach those goals.

I know my worth. And I’m adding tax. #youareworthy
